Chief of Police
Chad M. Adams began his career with the Morgan City Police Department in April of 1996 as a Correctional Officer. He was later transferred to the patrol division. As a patrol officer her later attended K-9 Training with K-9 Concepts and served as a certified K-9 Handler with certifications from the National Police Canine Association. He also served as an investigator with the Criminal Investigations Division. He was later promoted to Sergeant where he served as a Patrol Sergeant and later transferred to the Sergeant over the Criminal and Narcotic Divisions. Adams later was promoted to Lieutenant where he supervised in the Patrol, Corrections, and Criminal Investigations Division before being promoted to Captain over the Criminal Enforcement Division of the Morgan City Police Department. Chief Adams was appointed Chief of Police in October of 2022 where he now serves the citizens of Morgan City and oversees the operations of the Morgan City Police Department.
