Uniform Division
The Uniform Patrol Division of the Morgan City Police Department is considered the backbone of the department with regards to the continuing fight against crime within our city. The Uniform Patrol Division is divided into four patrol shifts, which work twelve-hour patrol shifts. The Uniform Patrol Division works all accidents, provides traffic control, answers calls for service, investigates misdemeanor and felony cases, assists the small animal control officer after hours, in addition to numerous other duties and responsibilities.

Lieutenant Ricky Hartley has served the Morgan City Police Department since 1998. Lieutenant Hartley is presently assigned as a shift commander and currently has two shifts under his command. Lieutenant Hartley has performed many duties within the Morgan City Police Department including Patrol, Narcotics, Investigations, and Sergeant.

Lieutenant James L. Mikeska has been serving the Morgan City Police Department since 2009. He has served the department in the capacity of Patrol, Sergeant on Patrol, Narcotics, Corrections, Sergeant, and in his current position as Lieutenant.
