Morgan City Police Department Launches New Website!
The Morgan City Police Department, in Louisiana, launched a new responsive website on July 11, 2024, where citizens can find the latest information regarding the operations of the Police Department!
The new website will serve as an information resource for the public and assist with community policing efforts. The responsive design allows site visitors to access the information they want and need from any device (desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone) with simple, flexible navigation.
Some of the features/functions on the new website include:
- Contact Form: an online form available to contact the Police Department via email.
- Crime Tips: an online form allowing users to attach photos, video, audio, or other files while submitting the crime tip via email.
- Departments & Services Pages: helpful information, resources, etc. available regarding the departments and services of the Police Department.
- Employment Page: information on employment and current opportunities available at the Morgan City Police Department.
- Facebook Link: allows users to follow or view the Morgan City Police Department on Facebook.
- Messages From The Chief: messages from Chief Chad M. Adams, which can be archived to view previous messages.
- Press Releases: news items posted by the Police Department listed in date order that can be sorted by year, ascending or descending, or filtered by category.
In the future, the new website will include more information on the following features/functions:
- Forms: online forms will be available for users to easily fill and submit online, or users may print, fill, and mail or drop off the form at the Police Department.
- Inmate Roster: this will allow users to view photos and information for individuals booked into the detention center and/or released within the last 48 hours.
- Most Wanted: this will allow users to view photos and information about fugitives, which can be printed as a "wanted" poster in a printer-friendly format.
