MCPD Narcotics Division Seize Cocaine, Marijuana, Synthetic Marijuana, and U.S. Currency in Narcotics Investigation

Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division Seize Cocaine, Marijuana, Synthetic Marijuana, and U.S. Currency in Narcotics Investigation. Femail Arrested Another Being Sought. 

Andrea Bridget Vaughn, 31 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, LA, arrested on 07/16/2024 @ 5:22 p.m. 

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Violation of Uniform CDS Law-

Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence
of Juveniles

Within the past several weeks, investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division began an investigation into the illicit sales of illegal narcotics out of a residence located on Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, LA.

According to reports, Kevin Lyn Clark was identified as the culprit allegedly involved in the illicit sales. 

On June 16, 2024, investigators with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on the residence where Andrea Bridget Vaughn was located along with three small children. Clark had just left the residence prior to the execution of the search warrant. 

Search of the residence produced a large amount of Cocaine, Marijuana, Synthetic Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, U.S. Currency, along with items used in the manufacturing of Crack Cocaine. Over $2,000 of U.S. Currency located was consistent with a street level dealer and believed to be obtained through illicit sales. Evidence was uncovered during the investigation that linked the items located to Clark. 

Reports indicate that additional Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia was located that was allegedly linked to Vaughn. 

The area where the residence is located is within a Drug Free Zone. 

Vaughn was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she now awaits court proceedings. 

Clark is being sought for warrants for his arrest for Possession of SCH II CDS W/I/T/D (Cocaine), Possession of Marijuana W/I/T/D, Possession of SCH I CDS W/I/T/D (Synthetic Marijuana), Possession of SCH II CDS (Crack Cocaine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Transactions of Proceeds from Drug Offenses, Illegal Possession of CDS in the Presence of Juveniles, and Violation of Uniform CDS Law-Drug Free Zone.
